Gentlemen’s Brawl is for both gentlemen and ladies. Men are rarely taught etiquette growing up, how to communicate, how to treat people, etc. Women tend to observe and learn etiquette more often. That’s why I call this gentlemen’s brawl.
Men need to learn these things much more than women. So with that, though Gentlemen’s Brawl will benefit men much more, it is a series is for both men and women. It’s all about success principles relating to people.
The knowledge we share with you here is built on centuries of people and relationship skills.

Song: Luck Be A Lady Tonight – by Frank Sinatra
Common Party Foul
When a gentleman brings his special lady at a social event, he needs to attend to her.
Rather than only talking with her and being around her, be WITH her, as a team. This could look like introducing her to people, opening conversations, and publicly complimenting her.
Do not do this
Sometimes Weston abandons his wife at social events and it doesn’t go so well. Though she is responsible for herself, he as a gentleman, which means she is a priority. He needs to be observant of her and the environment. Ie. Are ladies and gentlemen intermingling or not?
Likewise, when Samuel is at a family event (Samuel has a large family), he sometimes abandons his wife- not intentionally of course.
My friends. This should not be.
Welcoming others into your world
One practical way to attend to a lady at a social event is by standing when she enters the room. This is usually seen as old school and lame. But there is a profound principle behind it. RESPECT.
Also related, we should be continually inviting another into group conversations.
Have you ever tried to join a small group circle conversation and others didn’t acknowledge you? It sucks right?! This is NOT being attentive. This is not welcoming.
So be attentive. Welcome others. Not just the ladies, but everyone.
This is a great show. We can all learn more about social graces–dos and don’t for creating great relationships.
